Terms of Service

Last updated: July 9, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using cookiecraftmods, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the website, download files, sign in, publish content, submit applications, send messages, or use community and creator tools.

2. What the Platform Is

cookiecraftmods is a Minecraft mod and community platform. The site provides project pages, mod downloads, changelogs, galleries, roadmaps, release channels, creator profiles, community sections, comments, likes, follows, notifications, recruitment forms, contact/mail tools, and staff moderation or publishing tools. Some features are public. Other features require Discord sign-in, project ownership, assigned roles, or staff approval.

3. Accounts and Access

Discord sign-in is used for account access. When you sign in, the site uses your Discord identity to create or update your cookiecraftmods account.

  • You are responsible for activity performed through your signed-in account.
  • You must not share access to staff, creator, project management, moderation, or control-panel features.
  • You must not try to bypass roles, permissions, mutes, bans, submission review, file limits, or other access controls.
  • Admin, moderator, modder, publisher, and project-management access is restricted to accounts that have been granted the relevant roles or permissions.
  • We may mute, ban, restrict, remove, or terminate access when needed to protect the platform, users, projects, or staff workflows.
4. Community Rules

Community sections, comments, replies, likes, reports, and submissions must be used responsibly.

  • Do not post spam, scams, malware, phishing links, hateful content, abusive content, sexual content involving minors, illegal material, or content intended to harm users or devices.
  • Do not impersonate staff, other users, or project contributors.
  • Do not harass, threaten, dox, stalk, or target other users, creators, staff, or communities.
  • Do not flood comments, abuse reports, manipulate likes or follows, or disrupt moderation workflows.
  • Do not upload or publish content, images, files, logos, code, or project materials that you do not have the right to share.
  • Choose community sections and tags honestly. Do not label content in a misleading way.
  • We may remove content or accounts that violate these rules, with or without prior notice.
5. User Content and Publishing

You may be able to publish or submit profile details, community posts, comments, replies, media, project pages, changelogs, roadmaps, mod files, gallery images, external links, recruitment answers, contact messages, or mail messages. You keep ownership of content you own, but you give cookiecraftmods a non-exclusive permission to host, store, display, format, compress, moderate, publish, unpublish, and distribute that content as needed to operate the site.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you submit.
  • Community submissions may require moderation approval before appearing publicly.
  • Regular users may publish only to sections and content types available to them. Staff-only sections such as updates, roadmaps, and devlogs may require additional roles or permissions.
  • Images and uploads may be resized, compressed, converted, renamed, or rejected to meet storage, performance, security, and upload-size limits.
  • Public-facing content may be visible to other users and may remain in internal logs, backups, or moderation records after removal where reasonably necessary.
  • We may review, refuse, edit for formatting, unpublish, hide, delete, or reject content that violates these Terms or platform rules.
6. Creator Projects and Mod Files

Creator and project tools let authorized users manage project descriptions, downloads, release channels, changelogs, galleries, roadmaps, links, members, and related project content.

  • Only upload mod files, images, changelogs, roadmaps, and project materials that you have permission to publish.
  • Do not upload malware, malicious code, credential stealers, intentionally destructive files, or deceptive downloads.
  • Release labels such as stable, beta, and alpha must be used honestly so users understand the expected risk of a file.
  • Project pages and downloads may be reviewed, unpublished, removed, or restricted if they are unsafe, misleading, infringing, abandoned, or otherwise unsuitable for the platform.
  • Project ownership, collaborators, and permissions may be adjusted by staff when needed to resolve abuse, security, or ownership issues.
7. Downloads and Minecraft Compatibility

Mods and downloadable files are provided by cookiecraftmods or by creators using the platform. Files may be marked with Minecraft versions, loaders, and release channels, but you are responsible for checking compatibility with your own setup.

  • Downloads are provided for normal Minecraft play, testing, and community use unless a specific project states different terms.
  • Do not mirror, repackage, sell, or redistribute files in a misleading or unauthorized way.
  • Do not remove copyright, attribution, license, or branding information from project materials where those notices exist.
  • Back up your worlds and files before installing mods, especially beta or alpha releases.
8. Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to moderate the platform in order to protect the site and its users.

  • Content may be filtered automatically for spam, abusive language, repeated flooding, or unsafe links.
  • Staff may delete community content, hide mod comments, review reports, approve or reject publication submissions, mute users, ban users, change roles, change permissions, or restrict access to internal tools.
  • Moderation decisions may be logged internally for accountability, safety, and abuse prevention.
  • Reports and moderation queues help staff decide what needs action, but staff are not required to take every requested action.
9. Mail, Contact, and Recruitment

The site includes contact forms, internal mail, notification tools, and recruitment applications. Do not use these features for spam, harassment, false reports, scams, or content unrelated to the purpose of the feature. Recruitment applications and contact messages may be reviewed by staff and may include internal notes or status changes.

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using cookiecraftmods, you understand that we collect and process account data, profile data, community activity, project and creator data, uploads, messages, recruitment answers, session and security data, follow and notification data, moderation records, and traffic or download analytics needed to run the platform.

11. Third-Party Services and Links

The website uses or links to third-party services such as Discord authentication, Discord-hosted avatars, CurseForge, Modrinth, Ko-fi, Patreon, YouTube, GitHub, social links, Google AdSense, and other external providers. We are not responsible for the content, availability, security, terms, or privacy practices of those external services.

12. Disclaimer

The website, mods, downloads, project information, community content, creator pages, roadmaps, release labels, and related materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, complete accuracy, compatibility with every Minecraft version, loader, modpack, device, browser, or setup, or that the website will always be free from errors.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, cookiecraftmods is not liable for losses or damages arising from use of the website, downloaded files, uploaded files, community content, creator content, third-party links, downtime, data loss, moderation actions, recruitment decisions, or inability to access the services.

14. Changes to the Service

We may change, suspend, restrict, or remove any feature of the website at any time, including downloads, community tools, publisher tools, project management tools, moderation systems, control-panel access, recruitment, mail, notifications, analytics, or linked third-party services.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service when the website or community structure changes. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

16. Contact
